The 24 hour Maths Magic show took place this October. A group of maths presenters got together some mathematicians, magicians and other cool people to put on a live 24-hour long online YouTube mathematical magic show. Each half-hour had a different special guest sharing a mathematical magic trick, giving a total of 48 tricks for you to watch and puzzle over, and I was one of the guests!
It was a fabulous 24 hours with an amazing array of maths magic tricks. In my section, I was interviewed by maths presenter Zoe Griffiths and I shared the trick of how to multiply two digit numbers by 11 very quickly, and I showed how to multiply quickly by 6, 7, 8 and 9 using your hands.
